A day’s work
My days have been very busy lately. I know how to do many different things and I need to practice them every day. I go for strolls, play with my ball, dance for papa, play catch, and after all of this I still have time to stop and smell the flowers.
Happy Birthday, Papa!
Last year on you birthday,
We still haven’t formally met,
But I was wise to know,
That I had the best dad.
You smile and you joke,
You make me laugh if sad,
You tell me silly stories,
That’s why you’re the best dad.
I like our walks together,
Our playtime is always grand,
You’re pretty entertaining,
And that’s why you’re the best dad.
You potty train me ruthlessly,
You definitely make sure I get fed,
Even without TV shows,
I know I have the bestest dad.
When sleepy and when tired,
Or wide awake, sitting in my bed,
And all I can say is “Papa”
Which means, “Happy birthday, world’s greatest dad!”
