3 years ago – Great grandpa’s birthday

Birthday parties are lots of fun and my great grandpa’s was no exception. I sang and jumped and danced and ate delicious food. I also made friends with a cat who let me pet her and play with her. I never knew I can laugh so much!

Guest of honor

Weekend getaway

I like going away and exploring new places. This times I found myself in Mt. Pocono woods where I saw real live Bambi in the wild. I also visited a zoo and saw some of my favorite friends, like Winnie the Pooh. But I never knew there are so many animals, that I can’t even name them all. Some are tall, others are short, some are friendly, others are shy, some funny others are lazy, some like to jump other crawl. But they all like to eat and its lots of fun feeding them.

Enjoying the sun

Life is good on vacation. I like going to different restaurants and taste all kinds of food, but soups and pasta are my favorite. I like walking the grounds and I already know where each path will lead me. I enjoy the sun and swimming in the pool. Everyone is really nice and I already made lots of friends.

Sushi chef

Saturday was my grandpa Yura’s birthday and we all went out for sushi on Sunday. I was very glad to see everyone, especially my cousin Jane :)

Being out for the first time in a restaurant proved to be a lot of work. I had to inspect the table setting and make sure all the plates were in correct spot, everyone had chopsticks and soy sauce. Of course many plates had to be rearrangement, cups moved, and napkins redistributed, and all of this while entertaining everyone!  I also supervised the sushi rolling and even gave some pointers.

Pears are better whole

Who needs purees when you’ve got two barely used and very sharp bottom baby teeth?

Picnic

No one should stay indoors on such a beautiful day! That’s why I packed my lunch and had  a picnic. And it just so happens that my cousins Masha and Liza gave me the perfect accessories: picnic basket, blanket, cups, plates, and forks. Who is going to join me?

Food of love

Keeping Valentine’s Day theme going through the week, I wanted to have something special for lunch. The mood was set with a beautiful flower bouquet my dad got me and it was easy to think of a tasty dish. A twist on a classic favorite dessert, hearts banana split combines my favorite flavors in a cool shape. Heart bananas are filled with a pear puree and finished with a sprinkle of sweet potato.
